What we collect
When you submit a form on this site we collect the information you enter: first and last name, email address, phone number, company, city, state, postal code, the quantity and product type you are asking about, the service you selected, the grade if you specified one, any message you write and the page address the form was submitted from.
We do not run analytics cookies, advertising pixels, session recording or third-party tracking on this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Why we collect it
- To prepare and send you a quote, and to check chemical compatibility before quoting.
- To arrange delivery, collection or a yard visit.
- To maintain records required by law for regulated containers and hazardous materials handling.
- To answer follow-up questions about an order you have placed.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you explicitly ask us to add you to something. There is no newsletter.
Who sees it
Form submissions are transmitted from our server to our lead management system, which stores them on our behalf as a data processor. Within our business, submissions are visible to the quote desk and to whichever department owns the request — grading, compliance, freight or fabrication.
We share your details with a third party only where necessary to complete your order: a freight carrier needs a delivery address, a permitted disposal facility needs a generator name on a manifest. We do not sell personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become orders are retained for 24 months and then deleted. Order records are retained for seven years for tax and warranty purposes. Inspection and wash records tied to a container unit number are retained for five years, as required for periodic testing documentation under 49 CFR 178.813.
Your rights in California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you may request to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, request correction of inaccurate information, and opt out of any sale or sharing of it — though as stated above, we do not sell or share it.
To exercise any of these rights, email yard@ibctotessanfrancisco.com or use the form on this page. We respond within 45 days and will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Security
Form data is transmitted over TLS and processed server-side. API credentials for our lead system are held as server environment variables and are never exposed to the browser, which is why this site has no client-side keys of any kind. Yard records containing customer names are held on access-controlled systems.
Children
This is a business-to-business industrial supply site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
